A ghost, Arang (Shin Min-ah), enlists the help of government official Kim Eun-ho (Lee Joon-gi) to help her find her murderer.

With three magistrates dying from fright when they see her – Eun-ho is her only hope for her to regain her memories and find out what truly happened to her before she died.  He has the ability to see ghosts but will not help them or do them any favours. He initially denies her request but when he notices she is wearing a unique hairpin (one that he gave his mother before she went missing) he decides to help her in exchange for information about his mother.
