Cardiothoracic surgeon Park Hoon (Lee Jong-suk) flees from North Korea to the south with the love of his life, Song Jae-hee (Jin Se-yeon), but things don’t go quite according to plan and they are forcibly separated.

In his desperate search to find her, he takes on a job at Myungwoo University Hospital where he encounters the frosty and brilliant surgeon Han Jae-joon (Park Hae-jin) and ‘Quack’ Dr Oh Soo-hyun (Kang So-ra). Things take a turn for the complicated when Doctor Seung-hee, who resembles Jae-hee, begins working at the hospital.
