Nobody Knows begins with the brutal murder of Cha Young-jin’s (Kim Seo-hyung) best friend at the the hands of the Stigmata serial killer. Moments after her murder, Young-jin is contacted by the killer who taunts her to find him.
Twenty years later, Young-jin, now the team leader in the Violent Crimes Section, finally confronts the killer, but when she does, she is left with more questions than answers.
Her investigation is interrupted when tragedy strikes and her young friend, student Go Eun-ho (Ahn Ji-hoo) ends up in a coma. She soon learns that his accident is not a coincidence, with all evidence pointing to the New Life Church (and the Shinsung Foundation that sits behind it), led by the charismatic yet sinister Baek Sang-ho (Park Hoon).
